This TV Show Is Looking For People To Have Dinner With Their Ex

Ever thought of calling up your ex and asking them out for dinner? Probably not no, because as the old saying goes, they're exes for a reason.

But, this TV show is looking for people to do exactly that for BBC Three's Eating With My Ex.

The BAFTA-nominated programme is on the hunt for separated couples in the Manchester area who would be willing to go for dinner with their ex, and film the entire thing for the purposes of television, of course.

Eating With My Ex first became a hit when BBC released several short-form episodes, racking up more than 20 million views.

Now, 10 half-an-hour episodes have been commissioned to air on online-only channel BBC Three and fresh contestants are needed.

According to the programme makers, it "reunites former couples to sit down and have one last dinner with each other, and discuss their relationship in an honest and open conversation."

Shotglass and Thames said of the new series: "Alongside the often awkward and revealing questions being served up, exciting new ingredients have been added to ensure that Eating With My Ex delivers plenty more heart-warming, funny and authentic encounters."

Anyone who fancies going on the programme but doesn't fancy having to get back in touch with their ex doesn't need to worry, as the show has a team full of researchers who will contact them for you if they decide they'd like to have you on the show.

Entertainment commissioner at the BBC, Kalpna Patel-Knight said: "I'm really excited for the long-form version of Eating with My Ex. It worked as bite sized chunks but you really wanted to hear a bit more. The long-form will give you more insight into the relationship and what their family and friends think. It promises to be heart-warming, explosive and fun."
