The cast of popular E4 sitcom The Inbetweeners will be reuniting to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the show.

Arguably one of the funniest shows to grace our TV screens, thanks to The Inbetweeners we can't just dance normally to 'We Speak No Americano' and we can no longer say 'friends' seriously.

Actors Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley and Blake Harrison will be appearing in a two-hour studio show where they take a look back at some of their favourite moments on Channel 4.

The sitcom, which was based on four socially awkward sixth formers, only ran on E4 from 2008 to 2010 but gained a massive amount of fans with its popularity meaning two films were released in 2011 and 2014.

Simon, Joe, James and Blake will be looking back at their time spent as Will McKenzie, Simon Thomas, Jay Buckley, and Neil Harrison.

As well as acquiring a lot of fans, the sitcom also won a BAFTA TV award and a British Comedy award.

The Inbetweeners 10th Birthday Party will include behind the scenes clips, surprise guests, celebrity fans, unseen footage and embarrassing stories.

Of course, they couldn't do an anniversary show without paying tribute to the many memorable phrases and slang that the show produced which have snuck into our everyday vocabulary.

Co-executive producer Will Macdonald said: "The love for The Inbetweeners is huge, the kind of love that Jay would boast he's had many times - big celebrities, millions of viewers and loving fans from across the globe.

"And it's so exciting the boys will be back together to feel that love from all those people and enjoy it first-hand. What could possibly go wrong?"

Tom Beck, Channel 4's head of live events and commissioning editor for entertainment, said: "Will, Jay, Simon and Neil spent years failing to sneak into the best parties, so I'm very pleased to throw one that they're definitely invited to. I just hope Will brings his Mum."

Channel 4 has not yet released a date for the anniversary special but fingers crossed it is soon.
