Strictly Come Dancing aired a heartbreaking tribute to Caroline Flack on its Strictly: The Best of The Final special episode on Saturday 10th October, and it left us and fans all over the country an emotional wreck.

Hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, as well as the judges, professional dancers and some of her fellow celebrity contestants all looked back at Caroline's time on the show in 2014 when she took home the Glitterball, and it was an absolutely stunning tribute.

As the emotional scenes played out, heartbroken viewers took to Twitter to praise the tribute as many revealed they were in tears, while one declared: "Sobbing watching Caroline Flack. Such a tragic demise. But what a life-affirming legacy she left. Be Kind. #mentalhealth #mentalhealthday #strictly"

"Literally sobbing at #Strictly tribute to Caroline Flack. Even more poignant today on #WorldMentalHealthDay. What a beautiful woman. What an incredibly dark place she must have been in," said another, while a third tweeted: "My heart has just broke again."

"The bit about Caroline Flack on tonight's Strictly Best Of destroyed me. My favourite ever contestant anyway. Made me weep every time I watched her Show Dance (which I watch a lot). And then with her passing & it being Mental Health Awareness Day. I'm clapping & sobbing. #bekind" said another.

Another said: "That tribute to Caroline Flack on Strictly got me sobbing. Such a beautiful thing to do especially during this week."

In the seven minute tribute, Claudia said: "In 2014 she became the first celebrity to receive a perfect 40 for every single performance in the final."

"And she lit up the Strictly ballroom every single week," Tess added. "It is, of course, Caroline Flack."

Strictly pro dancer Janette Manrara added: "I think Caroline was probably one of the best, best dancers we have ever had come into Strictly Come Dancing."

Caroline tragically took her own life in her north London flat in February this year at just 40 years of age.
