It's the TV news we've all been waiting for - the start date for Peaky Blinders season six has finally been confirmed.
The hugely popular Brummie-based drama, which follows the Shelby clan, has had fans waiting patiently for the sixth and final season since 2019, but thankfully we won't have to wait too much longer as the release date has just been announced.
Anticipation has been at an all-time high since the BBC recently dropped the season six trailer.

So when is this new season set to air?
Get your flat caps at the ready, because it's finally been confirmed that the sixth and final season of Peaky Blinders will hit television screens on 27th February at 9pm!

While we'll be sad to see Peaky Blinders come to an end, it looks like the series will be going out with a bang.
The fifth season saw the Shelbys dealing with the repercussions of the Wall Street Crash, as Tommy (Cillian Murphy) tried to navigate new challenges as a Member of Parliament. With Tommy's mental health becoming increasingly unstable, things go from bad to worse for the Shelby's after it seems there's a traitor among the family's midst.
Season six will pick up directly after the fifth season, in which we saw the shock return of Alfie Solomons (Tom Hardy) and Tommy left with a gun to his head.
The sixth season will be the first since the death of Helen McCrory, who played Peaky matriarch Polly Gray. She died in April last year at the age of 52 following a private battle with cancer.

It's understood that Helen was originally set to appear in season six, which had already begun filming at the time of her death.
In a recent interview ahead of the season six premiere, Cillian Murphy said that it felt "very strange" being on set without Helen.
"The difficult thing to comprehend is that, if it wasn't for COVID, there would be a whole other version of this show with Helen in it", he told Esquire. "But she was so private and so f***ing brave and courageous. She was inspirational. People throw that word around, but she genuinely was."
Although Helen will not feature as often as she should have this season, Cillian has assured fans that her presence will be felt thanks to series creator Stephen Knight.
Cillian said: "Steve has managed to keep her very, very present, which I think is a brilliant tribute to Steve and also to Helen. But we couldn't quite fathom it all as we were making it, you know?"
