Netflix just dropped the official trailer for season three of Stranger Things ahead of its release this summer it looks like the demagorgons are back to provide us with another addictive series...

The streaming giant posted the trailer on Twitter with the mysterious caption: "One summer can change everything."

We already know the episode titles for the new series, which are: Suzie, Do You Copy?; The Mall Rats; The Case of the Missing Lifeguard; The Sauna Test; The Source; The Birthday; The Bite; and The Battle of Starcourt.

Details on the new season are pretty thin on the ground, however we do know the third installment is set in 1985, as David Harbour - who plays Police Chief Jim Hopper - told us last year that the new season involves a whole lot of experimentation and risk-taking.

I mean, Steve's outfit is pretty experimental...

Speaking to Deadline, he said: "If you're a real fan of Stranger Things and you really want to know, I would go look at the great films that were released in '85 - of which there were many - and just go down that list and think of the possibilities that we could be going with.

"I think it is a specific season to 1985, and so you'll see references to that.

"We're experimenting a lot this season, and we're taking risks, and I hope that they pay off, but they are risks. We're going into territories we've never been to before, and it's exciting."

Expectations for the new season are high after Netflix's programming executive, Cindy Holland, said the team are aiming to go 'bigger and better.'

Speaking at the Television Critics Association tour in Beverley Hills, she said: "The Duffer Brothers and Shawn Levy, they understand the stakes are high.

"They want to deliver something bigger and better than last year. I think it's going to be a fantastic season. It will be worth the wait.

"It's a really exciting season, just takes a little more time."
