Lindsay Lohan is returning to the world of movies as Netflix has just announced she's been cast in a brand new Christmas movie.
Yep, the Mean Girls and Parent Trap actress is *back*, and she's bringing some festive cheer along with her.
The streamer confirmed the news in a statement on social media, announcing she'll be playing a "newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress".
The plot is that her character gets amnesia after a skiing accident, waking up only to "[find] herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter".

Everything happens "in the days leading up to Christmas," which means there will be guaranteed soppiness, romance and feel-good festive vibes.
So far, all we know about the film is the synopsis. In fact, it doesn't even have a name yet.
Netflix hasn't yet confirmed who will be acting alongside Lindsay in the cast, or who will be working on the movie's production, either.
The film is yet to start shooting in November, and after that we'll have a better idea of all of the above, as well as the release date.

Keep an eye on Tyla and we'll keep you in the loop.
The new Netflix Christmas movie comes after the streaming platform has seriously upped the ante in recent years, offering up festive films like Christmas on the Square. Jingle Jangle, A Christmas Prince and The Christmas Chronicles.
We're expecting big things from the movie, given it's Lindsay's first film credit since 2019, where she starred in Among the Shadows.
We've previously seen her in movies like Freaky Friday, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, Herbie: Fully Loaded and Scary Movie.
