Peaky Blinders fans are in for a real treat tonight, as the Glow Up makeup artists are tasked with creating realistic looking wounds with the show's head makeup designer, Loz Schiavo.

Yep, BAFTA winning Loz is appearing as a guest judge on the Maya Jama fronted BBC series on Tuesday evening, and she's got a whopper of a challenge to put the makeup artists through their paces.

In the episode, which will test the MUA's special effects makeup skills, all the contestants will be tasked with replicating looks from the crime drama alongside Loz, at a prestigious makeup academy.

The makeup artists are to be given a continuity photograph to work from, and have to replicate it the best they can.

Plus, they'll have to create their own convincing injury, too, and age a scar that an actor was made up with six months ago.

Anybody who has seen some of the nasty guts, gashes and bruises they dish out on Peaky will know that this is no mean feat...

The key to this challenge is impeccable blending and attention to detail, to make sure the wounds look as realistic as possible.

And there's a big prize on offer, as the winner will be given a one-on-one masterclass with Los and also Oscar-winning make-up designer, Christine Blundell.

Glow Up bosses teased the upcoming makeup challenge on Instagram today, sharing a snap of judges Val Garland and Dominic Skinner alongside a bunch of models in Peaky outfits and gory prosthetics.

"By order of the Peaky Blinders, something gruesome this way comes!" the caption read.

"BAFTA-winning Make-Up Designer for Peaky Blinders and this week's special guest judge @lozschiavomakeup joins @thevalgarland and @dominic_mua at the @cbma_academy".

"I'm so excited," wrote one fan in the comments.

Meanwhile, another penned: "Yes omg," alongside a cheering emoji.

"O M G CANT WAITTTTTTTT," another Peaky and Glow Up fan gushed.

There are only five contestants left in the competition, so they're all going to have to bring their A-game tonight to avoid a visit to the red chair.

Glow Up lands on BBC iPlayer tonight at 7pm.
