Last year's Christmas edition of Gavin and Stacey was the highlight of our festive season, and naturally, we couldn't have felt more excited that the big-hearted sitcom will be returning "one day", according to the BBC.
However, Ruth Jones has seemingly shot down reports that the show will ever return, saying on This Morning that she "quite liked" leaving the show hanging and that there were "no plans" on writing any more Gavin and Stacey. Boo!
However, it seems the sitcom may be coming back after all for one final outing - at least, Joanna Page, who plays Stacey in the hit series, seems to think.

In an interview with Fabulous magazine, the 43-year-old explained: "As a fan, surely they've got to do another one.
"I don't think we'd ever do another series because I don't think we could get everyone together for long enough, but I can't imagine they could leave it the way they did. One more special, then done."
The 2019 Chrimbo special ended on a cliff-hanger after Nessa (Ruth Jones) decided to get on one knee and propose to Smithy (James Corden).

The pair, who had been embroiled in a constant love-hate, on-and-off again relationship, share Neil 'the baby' together - still so-called despite Neil now being 11-years-old in the Christmas special.
Last year's festive edition of the sitcom broke records, being the BBC's most-viewed non-sporting event in over a decade and the most-watched comedy programme in 17 years, after drawing a staggering 18.49 million on Christmas Day.
Joanna went on to describe that playing Stacey was a "joy", even if it has made her recognised in inconvenient places.

"I think as actors we just have to appreciate what we've been given. We have got such a tendency to moan all the time! I can't bear it when I am working with actors and everything has to be difficult or worthy," she said.
"Stacey was such an amazing part, it put me on the map and it means I can pick and choose how I want to live my life and what projects I do. I'm so grateful for this part. It is a joy! Every day people come up to me and say lovely things, which always puts a smile on my face.
"We were literally mid-smear as the nurse told me she knew who I was. When you have a speculum shoved up you and someone is saying: 'I know who you are!' that's a bit weird."
