Fantastic Beasts Exhibition Opens At London's Natural History Museum

We have good news for any Harry Potter fans. Fantastic Beasts: The Wonder of Nature at London's Natural History Museum is now open!

The exhibition originally launched in December of last year for a week but then closed early due to Covid-19 restrictions as the Natural History Museum had to shut its doors.

The museum has 120 exhibits for fans to enjoy (

Now as things open up again, you can step inside your fave wizarding world!

The museum has 120 exhibits including the Dracorex Hogwartsia dinosaur as well as Nifflers and Bowtruckles.

You can brush up on your fantastic beast knowledge too, and learn how the Occamy fits into its hideaway teapot.

Clare Matterson CBE, Executive Director of Engagement at the Natural History Museum, said: "At the heart of this exhibition is a celebration of all the fantastic beasts we have the privilege of sharing our planet with, and the very real threats they face. Visitors will leave with a renewed love of the wonders of nature, and a revived urgency to help protect it."

The wondrous display will therefore also look at how the beasts of our world have made an impact on the Harry Potter universe.

It will also be a chance to celebrate real-world scientists who discover and learn about our world's creatures just like the Magizoologist Newt Scamander, played by Eddie Redmayne, in the Fantastic Beasts franchise.

Fantastic Beasts: The Wonder of Nature is a partnership between the Natural History Museum, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and the BBC Studios Natural History Unit.

They have created and curated this magical collection which opened on Monday , 17th May and will be on display until 3rd January 2022, ahead of when the third instalment of the Fantastic Beasts trilogy is set to be released later that year.

Ticket prices range from £13.25 for children to £22 for adults. But if you're already a member or patron of the Natural History Museum, then it's completely free!
