Drama Erupts In The 'Love Island' Villa After The New Girls' Arrival

It's all been relatively calm so far in the Love Island villa, bar the unexplained departure of Sherif and a few love triangle tears, but tonight, the show looks to get well and truly fiery as everything kicks off thanks to the arrival of the two new girls, Maura Higgins and Elma Pazar.

In the teaser for tonight's show, no one is a happy bunny after Maura and Elma each pick three boys to go on a date with, and everything soon descends into heated arguments and awkward tension.

The beginning of the teaser shows Maura and Michael on their dessert date being heckled by the rest of the girls on the balcony. This gets Maura's back up and is deemed "immature" and "embarrassing" by the new arrival, who decides to retaliate by feeding Michael.

This then results in Michael and Amber having cross words, with Michael deeming Amber a "childish girl" when she didn't say hello to Maura after their date. This really riles Michael, who tells resident counsellor Curtis that if Amber actually likes him, she's got a "funny way of showing it".

It wasn't just Michael and Amber who experienced tensions, though. Also in the trailer, Tommy once again demonstrates how quickly his head can turn ("560 degrees", apparently) at the arrival of a pretty new Islander, implying to Maura that he would choose her over current partner Molly-Mae.

After trying to decide between not one, not two, but three boys all week, Molly-Mae loses her cool when she realises Tommy might choose the new Islander over her, telling him that she wants someone who "worships the ground" she walks on, and that she feels "threatened".

However, Anton, who she's previously had flirtations with, has no sympathy for her, and accuses her of keeping her feelings unclear in the villa, savagely telling her: "You've made your bed, lie in it."

It all looks deliciously dramatic, and we cannot wait for 9pm to see what happens: a two-minute teaser is never enough.

Love Island 2019 continues every night at 9pm on ITV2.
