Disney has unveiled a second trailer for the remake of Dumbo ahead of its release next month.

The almost two minute-long preview at the Dumbo reboot will be pure nostalgia for fans of the young circus elephant. Some of the footage overlaps with what was shared in the first official trailer.

Disney's beloved tale has been taken to new heights, with classic scenes from the original 1941 animation being given the reboot treatment.

"Welcome to the circus baby #Dumbo!" Walt Disney announced on Twitter on Wednesday morning. "Watch the brand new trailer, flying into cinemas next month."

The film follows Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) as they try to transform a failing circus with a charismatic entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), and they are prepared to do pretty much anything to transform it.

Of course, this means that Dumbo is torn away from his mother as she is sold on in scenes that are enough to bring a tear to even the most cold-hearted among us. Poor little Dumbo is also bullied and ridiculed for his gorgeously oversized ears, so its a guaranteed tear-jerker.

Other members of the cast of this new live action remake include Eva Green as Colette Marchant, Joseph Gatt as Neils Skellig, Allan Arkin as J. Griffin Remington plus plenty of others joining the starry line-up.

The new movie has been reworked by Tim Burton, of The Corpse Bride, Alice In Wonderland and The Nightmare Before Christmas fame, and the footage in the above trailer is instantly recognisable as the director's work.

A poster for the movie as well as the first official trailer were released in November last year.

Dumbo will soar onto our cinema screens next month on 29th March and joins other classic Disney movies being given a reboot, including Lion King and Aladdin.
