Red Notice has allegedly become Netflix's biggest opening day for a film of all time, and its secret ingredient to success may be a cameo from the presenters of The Great British Bake Off in the movie.

In the scene, Gal Gadot's character, The Bishop, explains her antics in a montage, The Great British Bake Off appears on the screen while The Bishop sits back and waits for her plan to come together.
It also happens to be the episode from the GBBO 2020 series where contestants had to make cake busts of celebrities, with Laura Adlington's Freddie Mercury being the scene-stealer in Red Notice.
Laura wrote on her Instagram stories: "'So many of you have messaged me to let me know my Freddie cake is featured in the new Red Notice movie on Netflix (thank you). How cool is that?" Another Instagram story of hers read: "Pinch me! @gal_gadot is watching my cake on Bake Off".
Bake Off fans were thrilled at the cameo too.
"Paul and Prue from @BritishBakeOff being in #RedNotice is kinda iconic", tweeted one baffled viewer.
Another person shared on Twitter: "I love that she was watching @BritishBakeOff #RedNotice".
Someone else wrote about it being contender as the best part of the movie: "I don't know what I was more impressed with, Ryan Reynolds' Bon Mots or @BritishBakeOff featuring on #RedNotice".
Whereas for this viewer it was more of a no-brainer: "the only good part of Red Notice was it featuring that bake off episode where they all made horrific busts".
Mostly, viewers were just shocked at the presenters' appearance: "Watching #RedNotice and what happens only @BritishBakeOff Paul & Pru[e] are on the screen at the same time, mind blown".
Somebody else agreed at the surprise cameo: "Didn't expect to see a cameo appearance of Bake Off in #RedNotice".
One fan simply put: "Gal Gadot watching Great British Bake Off in Red Notice is a great touch."
Well, here's hoping that the GBBO presenting crew get to star in their own crime film.
