This Morning viewers were left in bits as Anne Hegerty finally met the little boy living with autism who penned her a heartwarming letter while she was struggling in the jungle.

The Chase star was discussing her time on I'm A Celebrity when she was given a copy of the Joseph Hughes' tear-jerking letter.

Anne, who recently touched down in the UK after three weeks in Australia for I'm A Celebrity, read the moving words once again, before she was given a huge surprise as little Joseph walked onto the ITV chat show's set.

The pair exchanged facts about Thunderbirds, with Joseph saying it was great to meet her, complimenting Anne on her extensive knowledge about the franchise.

This Morning viewers were touched by the moving scenes, taking to Twitter to sob over the heartwarming exchange.

"Anne meeting Joseph is fantastically heart warming," shared one fan of the show.

And somebody else echoed the above feelings, writing: "Loved Anne on #ThisMorning meeting Joseph!!!"

"Anne Hegerty on #ThisMorning with the little boy. My heart this woman is unreal," posted a third, with a final adding: "I'm actually crying at #Thismorning."

Joseph's letter read: "To Anne. My name is Joseph Hughes and I am 11. I live in Preston, Lancashire and I go to a specialist school.

"I was diagnosed with autism when I was 5. I like to watch you on The Chase and now I have been watching you in the jungle. I think you are very brave for going in the jungle, I couldn't go there because there are too many bugs.

"You are very clever. Sometimes people are mean to me because I am autistic but watching you makes me see that other people can have autism too and maybe I can have a cool job like you when I am older.

"Do you like Thunderbirds? I love them. My favourite is Thunderbird 2. I have drawn you a picture I hope you like it.

"Good luck in the Jungle I hope you win. Love from Joseph."

Anne was seen receiving an entire book of letters from inspired fans also living with different types of autism on the I'm A Celeb: Coming Out Show on Wednesday night.

This Morning continues on weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
