Last night's episode of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? had viewers on the edge of their seats, as a contestant narrowly missed out on the £1million jackpot.
Andrew Townsley, a retired doctor from Glasgow, came tantalisingly close to the colossal prize - and it even transpired that, had he gone with his guess, he would have won.
Incredibly, Andrew managed to breeze his way to the all-important £1million question and still have his Phone A Friend up his sleeve.

In nail-biting scenes, host Jeremy Clarkson reminded the 53-year-old that he was now one of just six people to face the jackpot question.
"This is it, this is the million pound question," said Jeremy.
"It's what we're here for!" replied Andrew, seemingly keeping his cool.
"You'd be the sixth person ever to do it in all of the years this show's been on," added Jeremy. "There can't be that many who've even got to half a million."

The 15th and final question, when it flashed up, was 'In the history of motor sport, which of these iconic races was held first?'
Andrew was offered the answers of Le Mans 23 Hours, Monaco Grand Prix, Indy 500 and Isle of ManTT to choose from.
"Please tell me you know this," urged car fanatic Jeremy.
The mood became tense when Andrew pulled a face, and said that he didn't.
With a Phone A Friend lifeline still in play, the former GP called his pal Ailsa.

The pressure was on, but unfortunately, an honest Ailsa said that she simply didn't know the answer.
Eventually, Andrew decided to take the money and left with a staggering £500,000.
It's only the second time that Jeremy Clarkson has asked the £1million question since hosting the show.
Talking about the tense moment, the presenter said: "It was nail biting stuff and one of those TV moments I won't forget in a long time.

"A thoroughly decent chap and a truly fantastic contender!"
Well played, Andrew. So close!
