If you spent your childhood belting out 'Better The Devil You Know' or making up dance routines to 'Deeper Shade of Blue', then we have some very exciting news.

Steps have just confirmed that they're releasing a new album - and the best part is it's set to drop soon.

Taking to Twitter yesterday, the band - comprising of Lisa-Scott Lee, Lee Evans, Claire Richards, Faye Tozer and Ian 'H' Watkins - explained they just couldn't keep the news a secret any longer.

The album, What The Future Holds, will drop on 27th November, but you can pre-order it from today.

"We couldn't keep it a secret any longer!! Our new album What The Future Holds arrives on November 27th, and it's available to pre-order from 8am tomorrow!" they wrote.

Claire Richards also shared the news on her personal Instagram account, adding: "It's been a long time coming but we are so proud to present the next chapter to the Steps story."

Chatting to The Sun, the band even revealed pop star Sia had penned their first track. "She wrote the track for herself but realised it wasn't really for her and gave it to us," said Claire.

The new album will be released in November (

"It's not like it was in the bottom of a drawer somewhere. It was her who said, 'We should give this to Steps because it would really suit them'."

And the good news doesn't stop there. The band - who released a successful comeback album in 2017, Tears On The Dancefloor - have also announced a UK tour next year.

The tour will take place in November 2021 in Sheffield, Nottingham, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester, Aberdeen, Belfast, Leeds, Liverpool, Glasgow, Brighton, London, Cardiff and Bournemouth in December.

If you pre-order the band's new album you'll be signed up for exclusive pre-sale ticket access next Tuesday, 15th September. After that, tickets go on general sale on Friday 18th September at 10am.
