Yes the producers of the acclaimed stage show, Global Creatures, announced today it would be crossing over to UK shores for the first time in 2021.

"After ten years in development, and following the fantastic response to Moulin Rouge! The Musical in New York, we are thrilled to be sharing this musical with audiences in the UK. We can't wait to bring the show to London!," said producer Carmen Pavlovic.
The musical, which has already enjoyed huge success on New York's Broadway, will open at the Piccadilly Theatre.
Fans are invited to 'Enter a world of splendour and romance, of eye-popping excess, of glitz, grandeur and glory!

It is based on Baz Luhrmann's Oscar-winning 2001 film which starred Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor and tells the story of a young English poet and writer, Christian (McGregor), who falls in love with the star of the Moulin Rouge, cabaret actress and courtesan Satine (Kidman).

But pressure mounts on Satine as her boss, Moulin Rouge owner Harold Zidler, relies on her to appease the Duke of Monroth, whose money will keep the establishment running.
Inspired by the Moulin Rouge of Paris - a cabaret, dance and music hall which opened in 1889, served the Roaring Twenties and still provides a stage for 60 artists today - the film became the first musical to be nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards in ten years.
Moulin Rouge! The Musical is directed by Tony Award-nominated Alex Timbers, has a book by Tony winner John Logan, choreography by Sonya Tayeh, and music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Justin Levine.

The design team for the musical include Tony winner Derek McLane on sets, Tony and Olivier winner Catherine Zuber on costumes, two-time Tony nominee Justin Townsend on lighting, Peter Hylenski on sound, Drama Desk Award winner David Brian Brown on wig and hair design and Sarah Cimino on make-up design, with casting by Pippa Ailion.
Moulin Rouge! The Musical opens at Piccadilly Theatre in March 2021.
