David Beckham Sparks Debate After Posting Snap Kissing Harper On The Lips

David Beckham has sparked a furious debate on whether parents should kiss their children on the lips.

The dad-of-four uploaded a loving snap of him kissing his seven-year-old daughter Harper on the lips while ice-skating in London.

However, some disgruntled followers branded the photo as 'inappropriate', claiming it's 'wrong' for a dad to kiss his daughter on the lips.

It wasn't long before the former footballer's fans flooded the comment section, insisting the trolls were 'sick' for insinuating there's anything wrong with a 'completely natural' picture.

"I don't care what anyone says if a dad kisses a child on the lips it's completely wrong smd," one follower commented.

"She's your daughter, why are you kissing her on the lips?" another asked. "That's ur wife's kiss [sic]."

A third agreed: "I feel like a kiss on the cheek is better than that n the lips. The lips is just weird [sic]."

However, the majority of David's followers jumped to his defense, insisting people were 'ruining something so innocent' with their comments.

"This is so sweet," one person responded. "I find it so pathetic how people don't even think about it when they see a women kissing her son on the lips but yet a man kissing his daughter has caused commotion. I think it's beautiful."

Another added: "I think it's a cute pic. I assume all daddies have kissed their daughters like that. It's not like it's a full blown snog people!"

"The sick minds are out to showcase their ignorance," a third raged. "Father and daughter sharing a happy moment and you all having a melt down."

This isn't the first time David has faced criticism for posting photos of himself kissing his daughter on the lips, as he was forced to defend himself last year insisting he and Victoria are 'always very affectionate' towards their four children.

David also defended himself against trolls during a Facebook live on his personal page, where he told fans he kisses all of his kids on the lips except his eldest, Brooklyn.
