Cardi B Shuts Down Troll Who Criticises 'Twerk' Music Video

Cardi B Shuts Down Troll Who Criticises 'Twerk' Music Video

Cardi B is known her voicing her opinion, no matter how many feathers it's likely to ruffle and that's exactly what she just did when she shut down a troll who criticised her 'Twerk' video for apparently not empowering women.

The rapper pretty much summed up what it means to be a feminist in 2019 when presenter Stephanie Hamil tweeted: "In the Era of #MeToo how exactly does this empower women?"

"It says to women that I can wear and not wear what ever I want. do w.e I want and that NO still means NO. So Stephanie chime in..If I twerk and be half naked does that mean I deserve to get raped and molested? I want to know what a conservative woman like you thinks," Cardi B responded.

But this only spurred Stephanie on, who encouraged Cardi to come on her show to debate their views on women's sexuality.

"I agree, No means NO, NO MATTER what! But this video, & others like this sexually objectify women. I think this hurts all women & the cause. We're not sex OBJECTS!

"Clearly we see things differently, (maybe I'm just a hater bc I can't Twerk) Come on my show, debate me!"

Cardi then responded in a separate tweet, blasting: "All these conservatives been harassing me and telling me the most disgusting things these past few days.

"Listen I'm not telling ya to turn liberal all I'm saying is to admit that your president is f*ckin up this country right now! Liberal or conservative we ALL suffer as citizens."

It wasn't long before others chimed in on the debate, with some calling out Stephanie for confusing sexual harassment and sexual expression.

This is a debate we are here for.
