Amanda Holden's affair comments resurface after ex-husband Les Dennis mocks her photo

The pair were married from 1995 and 2003

Amanda Holden's comments about her 2000 affair have resurfaced after her ex-husband, Les Dennis, mocked one of her social media posts last weekend.

The pair first met on a stage show production of The Sound of Music and were married from 1995 and 2003.

Some 20 years after their divorce and the drama between them has seemingly eased enough for Dennis to poke fun at his ex-wife on social media, by mocking one of her posts.

On Saturday (13 May), Holden posted a sultry picture of herself at a bar simply captioned: "Paris," to make it clear to her envious followers that she was living it up in the city of lights.

The Britain's Got Talent judge's ex-husband didn't skip a beat, tweeting a similarly posed snap of himself in a dressing room captioned: "Not in Paris. In Leicester."

Dennis was in the British city ahead of the opening of the musical 42nd Street and his post left fans in stitches.

Holden has previously addressed her very public affair with Men Behaving Badly star Neil Morrissey in 2000 and has expressed her regrets about hurting Dennis.

She told the Daily Mail that she 'brought it on myself' but 'it was a very dark time', getting to the point where she felt she could 'hardly breathe'.

Holden admitted: “Les proved to be my saviour, ironically. So the person I’d hurt the most in the world was the one who was there for me.”

In an interview with the Express in 2009, Holden also said: “I found the fall from grace incredibly hard to deal with.

“I can’t bear not to be liked. Then I had an affair and overnight turned into this awful person.

“There are no hard feelings with Les. I wish him the best but we’ve both moved on.”

Speaking to Good Housekeeping in 2013, the TV judge actually defended Morrissey, saying: “I don’t believe women have affairs for no reason.

“Women don’t seek sex - we seek love and affirmation. If a woman has an affair, there is normally a problem in their marriage. Neil rightly or wrongly got loads of stick.

“I feel like it was my fault - I was the one who was married.

“I want to change the general perception of him, as he was very caring and very loving and very worried about me because I lost so much weight. He used to cook for me and look after me and babysit the dogs.

“We were thrown together when I ended the marriage, or at least moved out. Our relationship continued longer than it would have done had we not been so in the public eye, because we had no one else to turn to.”

Holden has been married to her second husband, Chris Hughes, since 2008, and shares two kids with the record producer.
