Aldi is launching its very own fake tan that dries in just 60 seconds

Aldi sells pretty much everything these days, including their own fake tan

Aldi has come up with some unorthodox product ranges over the years, but right now they're tapping into that desire to be beach body ready with their own brand of fake tan.

Last summer it was sun beds for pets so your beloved pooch could stay cool in the punishing heat, and this time around Aldi has come up with a new product it wants you to splash the cash on.

It's shaping up to be an incredibly hot summer, but even then it's very possible you won't get the tan you're after.

Maybe you have to spend most of your days inside and out of the sunlight, or perhaps you live somewhere other than a prime sunbathing location.

Whatever the reason, if you want a tan sooner rather than later then you might be better off coating yourself in fake tan, but if you want to keep the budget down, Aldi has just the thing for you.

Look at that velvet mitten, Aldi's perfect instrument for applying fake tan.

In just a couple of days (22 June to be precise), the supermarket is launching its own brand of fake tan, the Lacura Self Tan Mousse which you can pick up for the price of £3.49 for a 150ml bottle.

People who know much more than I do about the cost of fake tan (which is basically everyone) assure me that is a good deal.

Aldi says it's 30 percent cheaper than a bottle of St Moritz, though you get an extra 50ml dollop of tanning mousse for the £4.99 you'd be spending on that.

The supermarket claims its fake tan will dry in just 60 seconds, which sounds quick, and it has got some other products in the range it would like you to buy.

For £2.99 Aldi will sell you a tanning mitt made out of velvet, while for £12.99 you can get a fake tan sheet protector to avoid using your body as a brush and your bedsheets as a canvas for a painting in shades of bronze.

Now you can go to sleep without leaving a fake tan bodyprint all over your bedsheets.

These are part of Aldi's Specialbuys range so once they're gone, they're gone.

Other memorable products from one of Britain's favourite supermarkets include their rhubarb and ginger gin, the culinary delight that is the footlong pigs in blankets sandwich and the sleeping bag onesie, which probably isn't the best idea right now given how hot it is.

Alternatively, if you want to get a tan on a budget, then go outside in the sunshine, but do remember to pack sunscreen and make sure it's still in date.
