A New Nintendogs-Style Game Is Coming To Nintendo Switch

For many millennials, our first experience of responsibility was looking after our virtual pooches on the iconic Nintendo DS game, Nintendogs. Now, we're having all kinds of nostalgia as it's revealed a Nintendogs-style game is coming to the Nintendo Switch, which means a whole new generation can raise their online pets.

The official Twitter account for Little Friends: Dogs & Cats just shared a sneak preview of what we can expect from the eagerly anticipated game.

"It's time to meet your new best friend!" The account tweeted. "We're excited to announce that Little Friends: Dogs & Cats is coming soon to North America & Europe, exclusively on Nintendo Switch."

It might have been more than a decade since we first met our Nintendogs, but we're not ashamed to admit we can't wait to start looking after a whole new generation of digital furry friends.

Nintendo first hinted at the new game last year, sending fans into excited chaos on Twitter.

Nintendogs was first released a whopping 14 years ago, back in April 2005, and although a pooch's life is a lot of responsibility for a child, it definitely taught us a fair deal about remembering to feed, clean, walk and train our doggos to earn money to pay for their food. What better way could their possibly be to teach a child about those kinds of things?

The gaming brand is yet to reveal a release date, but we'll be keeping our eyes peeled ready to embrace the nostalgia.
