You Can Now Get Paid To Eat Food And Drink Wine On A Cruise Through Croatia

If you fancy yourself a bit of a food and wine connoisseur and wouldn't mind sailing around Croatia for a week then we might just have the perfect job for you.

Cruise Croatia are looking for a taste tester to travel on one of the their luxury new gourmet cruises for a week in October next year, and all you have to do is sample all their on-board meals, taste wine at local wineries, visit an oyster farm and give your feedback. Oh, and you'll be paid 500 quid for your time too.

Excuse us for a second, we're just off to book in our holiday days.

The lucky taster will head out on Cruise Croatia's 7-night Food and Wine Cruise departing in October 2020, sailing from the medieval city of Split through to the ancient walled city of Dubrovnik, taking in the Croatian coastline and Dalmatian islands along the way.

You'll get to sample local wines at the traditional wineries located across Vis, Hvar and Korcula, as well as a delicious traditional Croatian farm-to-table cooking experience at the end of the cruise, an excursion to a unique oyster farm and a guided tour of the magnificent Krka National Park and waterfalls.

"Aboard the ship, sumptuous breakfast and 4-course lunches, and of course local wine is provided," explains the job description on the website. "Plus, the wine expert Cruise Director will provide on-board wine lectures to increase your knowledge and appreciation of the splendid drink."

To qualify for the role you'll need to know your cabernet from your chardonnay, be keen to try new cuisines and have a love of travel. You'll need to be confident in providing detailed and honest feedback, too, so don't be shy! You also have to be 18 years of age or over.
