Spooky season is officially in full swing and to mark the scariest time of the year The Muppets have blessed us with a Halloween special.

The one-off feature length episode stars the fuzzy friends on a chilling adventure in the iconic Disney attraction The Haunted Mansion.

It centres on Gonzo as he ventures into the blood-curdling house after surviving every one of his daredevil performances. He’s eventually joined by Pepe the King Prawn and the duo meet up with the rest of the gang for a Halloween escapade.
It wouldn’t be a Muppets reunion without Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, the Swedish Chef, Sam the Eagle and many more.
The family friendly adventure is filled with hilarious moments, including celeb cameo appearances. Former Glee star Darren Criss will play The Caretaker, Empire’s Taraji P. Henson will appear as Constance Hatchway and The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air legend Alfonso Ribeiro is joining The Muppet crew as Fred.

Inspired by all four of the iconic Disney Haunted Mansion attractions located across the globe at various Disney Parks, The Muppets Haunted Mansion includes lots of hidden easter eggs for Disney fans and "Muppet-ized" sets and props that help immerse viewers in the storytelling experience.
The Muppets Haunted Mansion marks the Muppets’ first-ever Halloween special and features three new original songs, "Rest In Peace," "Life Hereafter" and "Tie The Knot Tango".
The Haunted Mansion also inspired another classic Halloween film of the same name, starring Eddie Murphy as a dad and real estate agent who brings his family to a haunted house where they must help a ghost search for his wife.

The 2003 horror comedy is available to watch on Disney+ and is one of many Disney flicks inspired by attractions, including Pirates of the Caribbean and 2021’s Jungle Cruise.
