Sex Education: Fans Are All Saying The Same Thing About New Series

#JusticeForRuby.

Sex Education landed on Netflix over the weekend, and naturally greedy fans lapped up the latest happenings at Moordale High.

For those of you who haven’t got stuck in, then watch out – spoilers ahead.

This series saw a number of shocks and spills (and plenty of sex of course), with the opening few eps establishing everyone’s favourite nerd Otis (Asa Butterfield) had somehow pulled Ruby (Mimi Keene), Moordale’s most popular (and meanest) student.

It turns out the pair had been having casual sex throughout the summer, and after a series of misunderstandings, they became an official item.

But as the previously tough and fierce Ruby let her guard down, revealing to Otis about her tough family life and sick father, Otis realised he didn’t feel the same way about her that she did about him – causing her to tearfully end the relationship.

And more heartbreak was on the horizon for Ruby, who was left blanched when she spotted Otis and Maeve (Emma Mackey) kissing on the trip to France.

While we may have all been rooting for Otis and Maeve since season one, it seems many of us had fallen for Ruby over the last few episodes – and now believe the character deserved far better.

Taking to Twitter, one person fumed: “Ruby was truly amazing, she carried the show and the writers used her as a pawn to create drama between Maeve and Otis and then they just dumped her!”

“Otis doesn't deserve neither Ruby or Maeve,” a second person wrote.

“We want Otis and Ruby back together in season 4 please,” a third said, while a fourth added: “Two seasons of Otis×Maeve build up, yet it only took 5 episodes of these two together to destroy it. Ruby×Otis is endgame in my eyes.”

“Ruby is my baby!” said a fifth, and a sixth added: “Ruby went against all her morals for Otis. She showed him her vulnerability and love because she wanted to keep him ... yet all she got was a ‘that's nice.’ My girl deserved better.”

Fingers crossed that Ruby gets what she really deserves in season 4…
