Peaky Blinders Fans Go Nuts For Season 6 Sneak Peek

We've been waiting for too long for an update on the next series of Peaky Blinders.

And finally, we have a sneak peek of the upcoming return of the BBC smash hit and the comeback of our fave Thomas Shelby.

Posting to Instagram, we see Thomas Shelby (Cillian Murphy) back on the streets of Birmingham in the sneak peek alongside a caption: "#PeakyBlinders series 6. Early 2022, on BBC One and @bbciplayer."

That's not long to wait at all, with Anthony Byrne, Peaky Blinders director, also posting the clip to his Instagram with the caption "We’re coming for you sooner than you think. By order of…".

We are SO excited and we're not the only ones as fans have been going nuts over the sneak peek, flocking to the comment section after the show's official Instagram posted the video.

One commenter wrote: "Damn, goosebumps on the way..🔥".

"its [sic.] happening! It's happening!", said another excited fan.

While someone else couldn't quite communicate their complex feelings and simply commented: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAA".

After the news that season six will be coming early 2022, fans are getting overwhelmed while they wait.

One Twitter user shared: "Guys i really can't wait for 6th season of peaky blinders".

Another person tweeted: "I need to rewatch at least the last 2 seasons of Peaky Blinders before the new one starts. I'm going to die with excitement".

As much as we're delighted to see Thomas Shelby again, the show's creator and writer Steven Knight has hinted that a Peaky Blinders spin-off show could go ahead without actor Cillian Murphy's iconic character.

Although he admits it would be "impossible" to imagine the current Peaky Blinders show without him, he isn't ruling it out for future spin-offs.

Knight told Birmingham Live, "In the form it is in, it is absolutely impossible for this to work without Cillian. As it grows and progresses, who knows? There may be worlds that are part of the Peaky world that are about someone else but he is the centre around everything orbits."

We'll make extra sure to savour every moment with Cillian in the next series then,
