Married At First Sight UK fans were fuming last night when they sat down to watch the final episode and it was nowhere to be seen. So what happened?
Come 9pm on Thursday 30th September, when the season finale was due to start and fans were at the edge of their seats to see which couples stayed together, they were instead met with frozen TV screens which read: “Programmes will continue shortly.”

E4 then eventually aired a repeat episode of MAFS UK and explained they’ve been experiencing “technical issues.”
Fans were not happy - and neither was MAFS UK’s Adam Aveling.
What happened to Thursday’s MAFS UK episode?
In a tweet at 9:30pm, after half an hour of fans wondering where the latest instalment was, E4 said:

“We’re aware it’s yesterday’s episode of #MAFSUK playing out this evening and apologise. It’s all down to our ongoing tech issues which we’re working hard on. We’ll update here as soon as we know more and when you’ll be able to see the final episode of MAFS UK.”
At 10pm, when the show is usually due to finish, E4 said:
“To confirm, #MAFSUK and Afters won’t be playing tonight. We’re sorry again – we’re working to make it available on All 4 and E4 as soon as possible and we’ll update as soon as we know more.”
“So looking forward to tonight's episode of #MAFSUK. Want to see why Tayah's crying. Are they happy or sad tears??? Such a shame there are tech issues,” replied one disappointed fan.

“I so appreciate you guys and I'm sure tech is stressing out. But just for my bedtime schedule will it be tonight because I am TIRED,” another joked.
A spokesperson from E4 explained further and said:
“Following the incident at the weekend, ongoing technical issues have meant that Thursday night’s episode of Married at First Sight UK was a repeat from Wednesday 29th September.
“We apologise to the fans of the show and have worked hard to get the episode to you this evening at 9pm.

“We hope that when you finally watch it you can find out whether Amy and Josh, Tayah and Adam and Morag and Luke renew their vows.”
When is the finale episode of MAFS UK?
As the season finale never went out on Thursday night, E4 has now confirmed it will air on Friday 1st October at 9pm.
In an attempt to bring some humour to the tense situation for fans, the channel tweeted the teaser clip for the finale and said:

“Okay, here's the teaser for tonight's episode (again). The twist is we're actually going to play it this time.
“#MAFSUK - the finale. Y̶e̶s̶t̶e̶r̶d̶a̶y̶ Tonight at 9pm.”
