Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts to star in new body-swap comedy movie

The new movie has been snapped up by Amazon Studios

Julia Roberts and Jennifer Aniston are set to star in a new body swap comedy movie. Anyone else already stupidly excited to see this?

The two stars will be appearing in the as-yet-unnamed comedy flick from writer Max Barbakow, who is best known for directing the 2020 romantic comedy Palm Springs.

The movie has been snapped up by Amazon Studios following an auction which attracted the attention of four other studios and streaming services, Deadline reports.

As yet there are no further plot details but one thing is for sure, I will be making a beeline for the box office when it’s released.

Julia, 55, and Jennifer, 53, have previously worked together on 2016’s Mothers Day, so it will be a bit of a reunion for the pair.

Speaking at the time the Friends star admitted to being a little bit intimidated after meeting and working with the Oscar winner.

When asked why she felt nervous, Jennifer told Entertainment Tonight: "Because it's Julia Roberts! Oh my gosh!"

She went on: “It's just a different thing when you get to work with them and then you're doing what you both do, [but] together.

"I even flubbed in the first take and called her Julia!"

Here’s hoping this time around Jennifer is feeling a little more chilled around her co-star.

Jennifer will be next on our screens in Netflix’s Murder Mystery 2 alongside Adam Sandler, which lands in March.

While Julia most recently appeared in the romantic comedy Ticket to Paradise alongside George Clooney.

Ticket to Paradise went on to become a huge success at the box office, pulling in $170 million globally.

Speaking ahead of the movie’s release, Julia revealed that her co-star George and his family saved her from ‘loneliness and despair’ after going into quarantine during the pandemic.

The two stars were flown out to Hamilton Island to film the movie, which left Julia separated from her husband and kids due to Covid-19 restrictions.

However, Clooney and his family were in quarantine together nearby meaning they could all form a bubble.

In an interview with the New York Times, Clooney revealed: “We started in Hamilton Island, with all these wild birds, and Julia had the house down just below Amal and me and the kids.

“I would come out in the early mornings and be like, ‘Caa-caa,’ and Julia would come out and be like, ‘Caa-caa.’ And then we’d bring her down a cup of coffee. She was Aunt Juju to my kids.”

Adorable.
