Viewers are completely hooked on a new comedy that has 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, having found themselves firing through the entire series after it started on BBC Two earlier this week.

Colin From Accounts is a hilarious and heartwarming Australian comedy starring Harriet Dyer and Patrick Brammall, which follows two strangers whose lives become suddenly entangled when they take joint ownership of an injured dog.

A synopsis from the BBC says: “Created, written by and starring Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer, the eight-part series centres on Ashley and Gordon; two single(ish), complex humans who are brought together by a car accident and an injured dog.
“Colin From Accounts is about flawed, funny people choosing each other and being brave enough to show their true self, scars and all, as they navigate life together.”
After becoming a hit in its native Australia, the programme has made it over to the UK - where it's already won itself an instant fanbase.

After watching the first episode earlier this week, one tweeted: “How good was Colin From Accounts on BBC2! Hooked already.”
Someone else said: “Colin from Accounts is excellent. I just laughed out loud and I'm in the house on my own. That's how you know.”
A third added: “Just watched the first episode of Colin from Accounts and it is f**king brilliant.”

Others admitted they’d already whizzed through the entire thing on BBC iPlayer (um, guilty!), with one fan saying: “Just binge watched #ColinFromAccounts. Best comedy tv show I’ve seen in a long long time. The writing is so good and the cast are absolutely brilliant. Love it.”
Another agreed: “I have a new favourite comedy and I promise it will make you smile. Check out #ColinFromAccounts on the iPlayer - it’s an instant classic and just what we all need right now. Genius.”
Someone else said: “Colin from Accounts on iPlayer has made me laugh and cry. Urge anyone to watch it.”
The eight-part series is hugely addictive, with the adorable rom-com format broken up into easy-to-watch half-hour episodes - the dream!

But it's not just a sappy romance series to be brushed aside, thanks to a smart, brilliantly funny script courtesy of lead stars Dyer and Brammall (who just so happen to be married in real life), which will no doubt remind others of the razor-sharp Catastrophe, which also followed two people pushed together by circumstance.
Critics' also seem to be in full agreement, as it's racked up a respectable 100 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes.
A five-star review from the Guardian said the show was 'unfailingly funny, honest, acute and kind', adding: "Dyer and Brammall have such an understanding of – and quiet command over – their creation that it never skates anywhere close to sentimental or emetic.

"As the series continues, it also promises to build into something even more rewarding than the pure comedy of its first few episodes. It’s really rather wonderful."
Meanwhile, The Times said: "It’s certainly promising and in episode two we discover something about Gordon that suggests a more bittersweet dimension to the quirky-loveable rom-com vibe."
UK viewers can watch Colin From Accounts on BBC iPlayer. It is also available to stream on Binge in Australia.
