When December rolls around, Christmas food becomes high on the list of things we can't stop thinking about. And top of that list are the delectable pigs in blankets that are synonymous with the festive period.

So we were pretty excited to discover that a pub in Manchester are looking for someone to try their twists on the classics to perfect their Christmas menu.

The advert was posted on Airtasker and all you need to do is share your best Christmas story with them.

Development Chef Mark wrote: "Are you a self-confessed Christmas Dinner connoisseur? Do you love pigs in blankets? Do you love the trimmings as much as the turkey? If yes, then I've got the ideal task for you!

"We're searching for one Mancunian resident to attend the ultimate Christmas taste-test for this year's star of the show - pigs in blankets - and give us some honest feedback to help us perfect our Christmas nibbles menu.

And if the free pigs in blankets don't manage to convince you to apply maybe the £500 payment for your time will.

"One lucky candidate will be chosen to taste the best of Christmas and attend an exclusive session at The Oast House.

"Here, you'll be served a range of pigs in blankets - each portion paired with a twist - throwing up some interesting flavour combinations.

"We're interested to hear if traditional pigs in blankets suffice, or whether we can open your mind (and taste buds) to some tasty new twists on the festive classic?... Oh, and did we mention you'll also be paid £500 for your time?"

The successful applicant will also be able to bring a friend along for the tasting session but if you want to apply you will have to act fast as applications close on the 16 December.

Given that pigs in blankets are insanely popular the advert has already had plenty of applications.

A bar in Leeds is also looking for a Yorkshire pudding lover to try their version of the Christmas dinner staple.

Applications close on the 22nd November and if you're successful you could be paid £250 just to sit and eat Yorkshire puddings all day- sounds like the dream.
