You Can Now Get Meat-Free Popcorn Chicken From ASDA
Being vegetarian has never been easier, as there is loads of different meat-free alternatives on offer that are all actually pretty yummy.
And now, ASDA has started selling meat-free popcorn chicken, which you might find yourself craving after a night out.
The supermarket giant says that it is a tempting snack, and is delicious with a little dip of ketchup. These southern-friend style treats are made out of soya protein, just in case you were wondering, and are vegetarian society approved.
The brand also suggests sharing these delicious balls of bread-crumbed goodness with your pals, but we think we will keep them all to ourselves.
For a 250g bag, it will cost you £1.50, which is a bit of a bargain if you ask us.
If you are looking for more easy meat-free options, Quorn has just extended its range of vegetarian food with three new additions.
First up is the Quorn buttermilk bites that are high in protein, low in saturated fat and are a source of fibre.
These 'deliciously versatile' succulent bites come in a buttermilk crumb, and are basically just an adult's version of chicken nuggets (meat free though, obviously!).
A 300g bag of these will set you back a meagre £2, and the buttermilk bites will be available from 16th April in ASDA and from Ocado.
Next, Quorn has also launched even more 'bites', but this time these are Thai-inspired. Just like the buttermilk bites, the 'appetisingly easy' Thai aromatic bites are also high in both fibre and protein.
They are said to taste of chilli, lemongrass and ginger, and sound seriously tasty. A 180g pack of these cost just £2.25 and will be available in Sainsbury's soon.
The final of the three new Quorn products are these sweet and smoky strips, which are again high in protein, low in saturated fat and are a source of fibre.
You can get your hands on 300g packs of these from 16th April in ASDA and from Ocado for just £2.
