You Can Now Get Glitter Gravy To Give Your Xmas Dinner Some Sparkle

You Can Now Get Glitter Gravy To Give Your Xmas Dinner Some Sparkle

The best thing about Christmas is the food - right? Right.

Obviously, there's gifts. But you put yourself into financial misery to afford them for others. I think we should all agree that gifts are just for kids and move on. But such is life. The good thing about food is that it's there when you need it. It's comforting. If your fella's left you, Ben and Jerry are there to get you through.

The king of all Christmas foods is the roast. No-one can deny it. It's not just the roast potatoes, it's the pigs in blankets, the Yorkshire puddings... and the gravy. Oh God, how good is gravy?! As a Northerner, I pretty much want to bathe in it.

I would have never thought that gravy could get any better, but a London pub has taken it to a new level after launching the UK's first ever glitter gravy.

Don't believe me? Take a look at this video.

WARNING: It may make you feel weird...

The Fox Under the Hill Hungry Horse pub on Shooters Hill Road is offering guests the chance to 'upgrade' their traditional Christmas dinners with a side portion of glittery gravy throughout December.

The pub introduced the festive gravy to add an 'extra touch of sparkle' to its Christmas menu. The glitter-infused side order can be added to a selection of festive meals, including Traditional Turkey with all the trimmings, Butternut and Cashew Nut Roast and Christmas Pie.

Although the glittery gravy is currently only available at the London pub, following its popularity with guests, the bizarre festive accompaniment could now be rolled out across 292 Hungry Horse pubs up and down the country. Can I get a Hallelujah?!

Ashish Patel, general manager at the Fox Under the Hill, said: "Christmas is one of our favourite times of the year, as it's the one time we can go all-out on festive decorations, twinkling lights and Christmas cheer! We've seen some wacky food trends over the years, and our glittery gravy is no exception - it's the perfect way spread festive cheer in December.

"We've had some great reactions from guests so far as they add a bit of seasonal sparkle to their Christmas meals with our glittering gravy.

"It would be great to see the dish added to all Hungry Horse Christmas menus across the UK!"

Get it down you.
