EXCLUSIVE: Wetherspoon Launches New Vegan Options Today – Including Quorn Chicken Nuggets

Veggies, get down to your nearest Wetherspoon, because as of today, the menu just got a whole lot more exciting...

Plant based pals, ever looked on with jealousy as your friend enjoys a big juicy burger with their pint?

If the answer is yes, then boy, do we have some news for you. As of today (September 25th) JD Wetherspoon has launched a selection of brand new vegan dishes, including two delicious burgers, a pie and Quorn chicken nuggets. YUM.

While the popular pub chain already offered a veggie burger, they've now stocked up on some brand new, super convincing 'fake meat' patties nationwide, created by Meatless Farm.

The first option is a simple but tasty classic Vegan Burger to get your chops around, which (naturally) comes with the pub's signature chunky chips.

But if you're feeling indulgent, you can also order a Gourmet Vegan Burger, which comes with smashed avocado, salsa and onion rings, too. Anyone else drooling?

The burgers are high protein, and made with pea-protein and chicory root to emulate the texture and taste of a real, meaty alternative.

Price is set to vary from pub-to-pub, but one thing is for sure - as is typical of Wetherspoons grub, the meal is unlikely to break the bank. The Vegan Burger and a soft drink will likely set you back an average of £5.30, while a Gourmet Vegan Burger is around £6.95 depending where you live.

Wetherspoon's will be offering Quorn chicken nuggets in selected branches

If Vegan Chicken Nuggets are more up your street, then you'll have to hope your 'Spoons is one of the lucky restaurants now trialling them - because they're only launching in 50 to start off with.

The 'nugs will be provided by Quorn, and will be available as a small plate (around £3.50 depending on the branch) and also in a wrap if you want something more substantial.

A Vegan Mushroom and Vegetable Pie (averaging at £7.50 depending on branch) will also be getting the trial treatment, so keep your eyes peeled for that in selected restaurants.

Selected branches include The Moon Under Water in Manchester, The Moon Under Water in Watford and The Banker's Draft in Sheffield, alongside a whole string more.
