Vegans rejoice! Magnum has just launched two new plant-based ice creams, and you can already get your hands on packs from your local Tesco.

Whether you are dairy-free for health or ethical reasons, then you no longer have to miss out on the cold, creamy, chocolate-coated deliciousness that is a Magnum anymore.

A pack of three will set you back £3.89 for a box of three from Tesco, and you can choose from classic chocolate or almond flavours.

Magnum says the ice cream is velvety and dipped in delicious chocolate, providing the indulgence of a classic Magnum, but without the dairy.

The almond goodies also have nutty pieces in the chocolate coating, and will be the perfect after-dinner treat.

These new vegan ice creams have been certified by the European Vegetarian Union, and the cocoa beans used to make the chocolate coating are sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified:tm: farms.

Magnum first trialled the dairy-free ice creams in Finland and Sweden this year, and is now rolling them out in UK supermarkets.

The ice creams aren't the only recent dairy-free addition to supermarkets, as Hellmann's is also launching a vegan mayonnaise here.

The vegan version of its popular mayo was launched in the US a couple of years ago, and now Brits with a dairy-free diet can enjoy the condiment with any dish they fancy.

Mayo's main ingredient is egg which is pretty difficult to replicate with plant-based products, but Hellmann's have used maize starch in its place.

Jon Walbancke, marketing director for sauces and condiments at Unilever, said: "To continue to appeal to new shoppers, we are actively investing in key consumer triggers, which is why we are introducing a mayonnaise that taps into the vegan dietary trend."

Hellmann's vegan mayo will hit Tesco supermarket shelves next month, although there's no word on price just yet.
