Rose gives the spirit a floral quality, and the pomegranate provides a sweet and tart kick to the mix.
Lidl's Paul McQuade told PRETTY52: "The new gin liqueur will strengthen and diversify the Hortus offering, moving it on from the popular existing varieties which focus on sweet fruits, and basing this addition on the recent floral spirits trend."
The fruity rose-flavoured gin isn't the only pink spirit that the supermarket has stocked on its shelves.

And if you've ever dreamy of swigging the stuff from the bottle, then now is your chance, as this can be enjoyed neat or over a couple of cubes of ice.
There's also the fruity and spicy rhubarb and ginger gin, which comes in a pretty light pink hue.
Both of these gin liqueurs sold out like hot cakes, and with their affordable £11.99 price tag, it's easy to see why.

Lidl's dry Hortus gin has been scooping up awards all over the place, and it's pretty popular with those who can't get enough of the juniper-based spirit.
This one is slightly more pricey, coming in at £15.99, and the smooth, herby gin is delicious when matched with a splash of fizzy tonic water and fruit.
If you really want to mix things up, the the Hortus Gin range also includes a sloe-flavoured spirit, which will be perfect when mixed with prosecco or tonic.
