TikTokers around the world are going wild for a new way to eat cereal - and its seriously heatwave-appropriate.
Please, take a moment to clear a space in your freezer compartment for the phenomenon that is... frozen cereal.
With hella cold and extra crunchy results, this simple cereal hack makes for a cooling summer brekkie and quickly went viral on social media.

As you might have guessed, the idea is to fill a bowl with your go-to cereal of choice and pop it in the freezer compartment to chill.
Once suitably cooled, remove your portion of cereal from the freezer and fill with milk.
Apparently, it's a taste sensation. The frosted cereal is oh-so-crisp and cool, while the freezer-fresh bowl keeps the milk ice cold.

Mmm. Sounds pretty delicious, right?
Cereal lover Ace (@acebking) trialled the trend on TikTok in a how-to video that at the time of writing has clocked up a whopping 1.6 million likes.
"My favorite food is cereal, so i had to try this!! [sic]" Ace captioned the video.

Following the hack's simple steps, the cereal fanatic bunged his Cheerios - which seem to be the favourite cereal for this particular trend - away for a deep freeze.
He was clearly a big fan of the final taste too, exclaiming "oh yeah!!" as he enthusiastically shovelled spoonfuls into his mouth.
We can feel the brain freeze just by looking at Ace's face - but apparently, it's more than worth it.

Other TikTokers have followed suit:
And frozen cereal isn't the only cereal-based trend sweeping our social feeds.
Earlier this month, Tyla brought you the recipe for the irresistibly cute Insta-craze that is glazed mini doughnut cereal.
Yep, that's dinky (usually ring-shaped) donuts topped with high-shine icing and colourful sprinkles, served in a bowl.
The milk part is, of course, optional - we'll take an ice-cold glass of the stuff on the side to save getting these spongey creations getting all soggy, please and thanks.
