The UK's First Wine Spa Looks Absolutely Incredible
Wine is one of the world's most greatest gifts. Red, white, pink, orange (yep, that's a thing now), sparkling, fortified - you name it, we all love it.
And it seems it's also the gift just keeps on giving, as it's not only a tasty drink to sip on after a long day or with a bite of cheese, it can also be used to create the spa experience of your absolute dreams.
Enter the UK's very first wine spa, Ella Di Rucco in Chelsea, London, where vino is used for several treatments to 'stimulate your body and mind'.
Consider us already well and truly on board - I mean, you had us at wine, to be fair.
"With our Wine Therapy treatments, you can relax knowing that the wine's antioxidant benefits are delivered straight to your skin, working to combat premature ageing and encouraging a fresh, more vibrant appearance for your skin," the website reads.
"The polyphenol in grapes stimulates circulation and detoxifies the skin, leaving your skin hydrated and rejuvenated.
"For city dwellers, it also clears away the toxins present in our skin caused by smog and other environmental factors."
The tempting treatments include body scrubs, wraps and massages - but best of all? A wine bath (!), which lets you soak away your stresses in a tub filled with bubbling hot water, Sangiovese, Merlot and Ciliegiolo wine, with a concentrate of virgin grape juice. If that doesn't sound like the absolute dream then I don't know what does.
"Rich in antioxidants, the Sangiovese Bath has a slimming, illuminating and de-stressing effect, and will leave your skin feeling revitalised," the website explains.
You can also treat yourself to a Merlot body scrub, which is aimed to relax, detoxity and cleanse your skin, or a Merlot grape seed and rosemary body massage.
If you fancy a body wrap, you've got your pick of a Sangiovese one, a Merlot and honey one or a Ciliegiolo one - each designed to de-stress, boost vitality, strengthen the immune system or reinvigorate your body and mind.
Anna Brilli, the spa's director, said: "Wine baths and treatments are common in the wine regions of Italy and as such we wanted to bring this experience to London and share the benefits with the UK.
"We're really excited about introducing the concept of wine therapy and look forward to welcoming everyone in due course."
Wine lovers, you know what to do.
