Prosecco Christmas Crackers Are The Festive Fizz We Need This Winter

Who wants to pull a cracker only to win a paper hat, a rubbish joke and a paper clip, when you can have prosecco instead?!

It might not even be Halloween yet, but we already can't wait to sip on mulled wine and sing to Mariah Carey at the top of our lungs.

We've got our Mac Cosmetics advent calendar on pre-order and we're ready to stock our cupboards with salted caramel mince pies and Camembert and rosemary flavour crisps.

Just to add to the festive preparations, we've just found out that prosecco Christmas crackers are a real thing, and we can't believe we didn't know about this before.

Well, Virgin Wines has heard all our hopes and dreams and decided to re-release its popular prosecco crackers from last year, which is enough to add a bit more festive fizz to anyone's day.

Gone are the days of putting all that elbow grease into beating your family with a Christmas cracker, only to be greeted with a terrible joke, a paper hat and a plastic whistle.

Virgin Wines

Virgin Wines' Christmas crackers all contain a mini bottle of fizz, or other booze inside, so you know exactly what you're pulling for.

The Christmas crackers come in a pack of six, costing just £32.99, which equates to just over a fiver per bottle of Prosecco, and you can't say fairer than that.

For anyone non-fizz loving customers, the wine brand is also selling gin and tonic crackers, which contain either a measure of Bombay Sapphire or Beefeater London Dry gin and a can of tonic.

Much like the prosecco crackers, the gin and tonic also come in packs of six and cost just £32.99 so of course we'll be stocking up just in time for the big day.

Sainsbury's

In the meantime we're going to head to Sainsbury's to get our hands on the supermarket's own brand £16 gin, which recently came out top in a blind taste test against other premium spirits.

Sainsbury's Taste The Difference Blackfriars gin received and impressive 83 per cent in the taste test conducted by Which?.
