Nando's Announces It's Reopening 92 More Restaurants This Week

PERi-PERi fans can count themselves one step closer to normality as Nando's announces it's opening another 92 of its restaurants for dine-in.

From today, the chicken chain is reopening 92 more restaurants following a 17-week hiatus due to the pandemic, bringing the total number up to 102. Meanwhile, over 350 restaurants offer delivery and online click and collect.

Restaurants include those in London, Manchester, Reading, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Coventry, Sheffield and Belfast, meaning fans in those cities could be sitting in their local Nando's once more in time for the weekend.

What's more, all restaurants will be taking part in the government's Eat Out To Help Out scheme - which aims to boost the restaurant industry following the pandemic - meaning food will be 50 per cent off on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout August.

The decision comes after the successful trial reopening of 10 restaurants for eat-in two weeks ago.

"It's the news that PERi-PERi fans across the UK have been waiting for. After successfully reopening 10 restaurants for eat-in two weeks ago, Nando's has started to reopen more restaurants to the public," said Nando's.

"Those looking to eat-in with us will notice a few differences when they come and visit for the first time, as a host of new safety protocols have been implemented."

Of course, things will look different as Nando's eases customers back in while adhering to social distancing.

For instance, each restaurant has implemented a new service style including virtual queuing and 'order & pay' at the table, whereby customers order using their phone.

Also, the restaurants will be running at a reduced capacity in order to maintain social distancing. They warn this may mean service takes longer than usual, but we can all surely understand that, right?

There will also be a maximum of six per table, meaning you'll need to choose your Nando's buddies wisely.
