Your fast food fix is about to get a whole lot fancier, as McDonald's is now offering table service across the UK.

The popular burger chain has added table numbers to each of its 1,249 branches across the UK.

And if you want to eat your Big Mac in style then you can order via the Maccies app and it will be delivered straight to you, just like in a gourmet restaurant.

You can download the McDonald's app here, and then all you have to do is select the "eat in" option when placing your order.

You'll then be offered the option to pick "table service," and Voila! Prepare to be waited on like the Queen you are.

The best part is you can order your food in advance of arriving at the restaurant, so that they can already start preparing it for you.

You'll need to be nearby though, as the app only works if you're 100m from your chosen branch.

McDoanld's has been slowly moving towards establishing itself as a sit-down eatery for a while now.

The move comes after McDonald's briefly allowed customers to reserve tables in its High Street Kensington branch last year.

However, this was only short term, to coincide with the launch of their new Signature burger.

The chain isn't the first to bring in table service via an app, as J.D Wetherspoon also introduced the concept back in 2017.

And it's been a hit with customers at the pub chain, with some even sharing their table numbers on social media in the hope that their pals will log on and send them a pint or a bowl of chips.

If you're as excited by McDonald's table service news as us, then why not make a Christmas meal of it and head on down to sample their new festive menu?

There's all sorts of tasty delights on offer, including the legendary Big Tasty burger and the oh so indulgent camembert cheese melt dippers. Yum.

Maccies dinner date, anyone?
