Just when we'd accepted pigs in blankets couldn't get any better, a golden version is launched.
In what has to be the boujiest Christmas dinner addition ever, butcher Farmison & Co has created the world's most luxurious pigs in blankets.
They have been finished with edible gold, giving them some shimmer, but they are also made with specially sourced fresh White Truffle from Alba in Italy.
Rounding them off, they also incorporate 20-year-old Calvados cider, which is made using pears from a 200-year-old tree that sits in the south of France. Sounds fancy.

But with an extremely posh product like this comes a hefty price tag. These bite-sized Christmas dinner accompaniments are a bit of a splurge at £60 for six sausages or £150 for a kilogram, but they'll certainly up the ante. Shop them here.
While the price is pretty high, it's all down to the ingredients. The Italian truffles, harvesting from October to December, are considered an important jewel in the culinary calendar, while the cider used in the recipe is 20-years-old and is made from 15 varieties of apples and pears.
But if you're looking to upgrade your pigs in blankets but splurge less this festive season, why not consider choosing Aldi's two metre long pig in blanket?

The product is £4.99 and is set to make an impact on the dinner table this December 25th, but is definitely one to share.
It seems like Aldi is really leading the way with festive food products this year, as it is also selling super-hot pigs In blankets to liven up your festive spread a little.
New this Christmas, the Scorpion Chilli Pigs In Blankets are not for the faint hearted, using the super fiery breed of chilli, sourced especially from Trinidad.

You can buy them now and one 240g packet costs just £2.29.
They certainly sound interesting. We're not sure we'd be willing to put them on our Christmas dinner, but we'd serve them up as part of a festive holiday party spread.
But it's Sainsbury's that has gone all out, with a £13 wreath that's made of pigs in blankets and stuffing that will make a fabulous table centre-piece.

There's just so much choice - how will we choose?
One of each, anyone?
