Christmas is a time for scoffing as many Greggs festive bakes as we possibly can.

So it was music to our ears when we discovered a company is looking to pay somebody to do just that, as their official Festive Food Tester.

Restaurant and takeaway insurance website, MoneyBeach.co.uk, is looking for somebody to try out all the best Crimbo food on the market.

The role will involve tasting mains, snacks and drinks and reviewing them - ranking their taste, value for money and 'festive-ness'.

The successful applicant will be credited with £75 worth of funds in order to buy all the Yuletide treats, from a range of shops, including Greggs, KFC, Costa Coffee and McDonalds.

Then, all the items will be ordered via delivery apps like Deliveroo, UberEats and Just Eat and sent straight to their door.

The job itself requires reviews of each item, commenting on the taste, value for money and - most importantly - how Christmassy it makes them feel.

The website will then use these deets to officially crown the best festive food in the UK.

And you'll be paid £200 for helping them out. It really is that simple.

So, how do you apply? Firstly, you have to be over the age of 18 and in the UK.

Those wishing to apply will be asked to explain why they feel they are right for the job, and then the best answer be picked from the bunch.

Mike Rees, CEO of MoneyBeach.co.uk, said: "As a specialist website for restaurant and takeaway insurance, we keep a keen eye on takeaway trends in the UK.

"This year is the first year that many limited-edition Christmas menus have been available for delivery at home, and it prompted us to wonder if we could find out once and for all which festive food is officially the best.

"We'll be looking for someone who loves Christmas as much as they love takeaways, as it's really important for us to know how much festive joy each dish or snack brings."
