Whether it's to wake ourselves up after a big night out, or provide that much needed mid-afternoon energy hit, there's no denying we're all huge fans of caffeine. And now Costa Coffee is set to up the ante on the nation's favourite drink with the launch of their brand new Ready-to-Drink cans.

The first major product launch since Coca-Cola acquired Costa earlier this year, these cans of goodness come in three different flavours - Classic Latte, Caramel Latte and Black Americano - and us Brits are going to be the first to get our hands on them.

While the price is still under wraps, we do have some good news - each drink contains between just 15 - 108 calories per 250ml can, with 30 per cent less sugar than most other ready-to-drink coffees in the country, making them a healthier mid-afternoon treat.

The new range has proper coffee at its core too, brewed from the same Mocha Italia Signature Blend coffee beans used in all Costa Coffee so there's no compromising on that genuine caffeine hit. What's more, all the coffee beans are Rainforest Alliance Certified, making the new range perfect for the more environmentally-friendly consumer.

"Our teams at Coca-Cola and Costa Coffee have been working around-the-clock to make our shared vision of Costa Coffee ready-to-drink coffee a reality," said Jennifer Mann, Senior Vice President and President of Global Ventures for Coca-Cola.

"This demonstrates the power of our partnership. It combines the marketing expertise, global scale and distribution credentials of the Coca-Cola system with Costa Coffee's expertise and capabilities in coffee. The result is a fantastic tasting, ready-to-drink coffee," she added.

Dominic Paul, CEO of Costa Coffee enthused: "Through this collaboration we've been able to work together to offer consumers the great taste of Costa Coffee in a can for the first time. We are committed to working together to give consumers more opportunities to enjoy the Costa Coffee they know and love, whenever they want, wherever they are. We're really proud to have bought this product to market at such speed while still ensuring the range has proper coffee at its heart."

You won't have to wait too long either as cans are expected to hit shelves nationwide later this month, just in time for summer...
