Chin Chin: Lidl's Pink Gin Is Back Just In Time For Christmas

Chin Chin: Lidl's Pink Gin Is Back Just In Time For Christmas

Back in October, we lost our collective sh*t when we found out that Lidl was selling its own pink gin.

Well merry bloody Christmas because the Hortus Gin Liqueurs are back on shelves nationwide this week.

Not only is there a gorgeous pink one (Scottish Raspberry), but there's also a 'Rhubarb and Ginger' flavour, 'Oriental Spiced Gin' and, of course, the 'Original London Dry Gin'.

Lidl's expert spirits consultant, Tristan Stephenson, said: "The Hortus Scottish Raspberry Gin Liqueur is wonderfully sweet, and so helps to emphasise the fruit flavours. It could be consumed on its own, over ice, or as part of a Spritz with champagne. The Rhubarb and Ginger goes brilliantly with an earthy ginger beer, replacing your usual tonic mixer."

Paul Gibson, Buying Director for Lidl UK explained: "It's fantastic to see how well customers have responded to our new gin liqueur offering. We're excited to be bringing innovative products to our ever-growing spirits range, including our increasingly popular Hortus range of artisan gins and now gin liqueurs. Due to popular demand the Hortus Gin Liqueurs - both 'Rhubarb and Ginger' and 'Scottish Raspberry' flavours - are back for Christmas celebrations, and into the New Year."

All bottles of the tipple are an absolute steal at just £15.99, and are part of Lidl's Hortus gin collection. They can be enjoyed on their own on ice, or you can create some sophisticated Crimbo cocktails with them too.

If gin isn't your fave, there is even more addictions to the retailer's alcohol cupboards, like the Liberté Aged Black Spiced Rum, which is said to have notes of butterscotch and chocolate. Yummy.

This one is a little bit more expensive at £15.99, but my mouth is watering already.

Chin chin, pass me a gin.
