A New Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Cherry Ice Cream Is Coming

Summer might nearly be over but that doesn't mean that ice-cream season has to be. Let's face it, true ice-cream lovers are even down with the chilly treat when temperatures drop to freezing, which Ben & Jerry's knows all too well. That's why the company has just released a new Moo-phoria flavour and it looks absolutely incredible.

Just like the original Cherry Garcia With a Twist, the new Chocolate Cherry Garcia is packed with chocolatey chunks and cherry pieces but this time the geniuses over at the ice-cream factory have whipped up those chunks with a rich chocolatey ice-cream.

OMG.

Ben & Jerry's Moo-phoria line is lower in calories than regular ice-creams, and each 100ml serving of this dreamy new flavour contains just 117 calories. By comparison, the same-size serving of a traditional Ben & Jerry's ice cream is around 250 cals, and they also have up to 70 per cent less fat and no sugar substitutes. That means it's ok to eat two tubs in one sitting, right?

Now for the most important details: it's due to hit shelves mid-September and a tub will cost £5.49.

"We think this new addition to our Moo-phoria light family will be music to the ears and the taste buds," says Tsega Abate, Ben & Jerry's flavour guru. "We've given our musically-inspired classic Cherry Garcia an all-new chocolatey twist giving ice cream fans a tub which is light on fat but loud on flavour."

The company released its first three Moo-phoria flavours back in February 2018, and now the range includes the original Cherry Garcia with a Twist (named after the Grateful Dead's late frontman Jerry Garcia), Mocha Fudge Brownie, P.B. Marshmallow Swirl and Chocolate Cookie EnlightenMint.

The incredible new flavour is our favourite B&J's launch since January this year when three new flavours of its delish Cookie Dough Core Ice Cream hit shelves - Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Core, Sweet Like Sugar Cookie Dough Core and Wake & 'No Bake' Cookie Dough Core.
