Aldi has unveiled a range of new cider flavours - and they're sure to hit the spot this summer.

The German supermarket chain's cider brand Alska has added Rhubarb & Grapefruit as well as Peach, Mango & Lime to their flavour roster this week.

The retailer describes its Rhubarb & Grapefruit flavoured pear cider as "tart yet crisp" and the "perfect refreshing tipple this summer".

It says the Peach, Mango and Lime flavoured pear cider is "sweeter" and "subtler" to the palette compared to the new sister offering.

Even better is that both flavours are vegan-friendly and gluten-free, so no one has to be excluded from trying them.

The new offerings, which cost just 99p, come in a 330ml can and are 4 per cent ABV.

Already Aldi fans are raving about the cider branding them "gorgeous" and "awesome".

One customer penned on Facebook: "They lovely I've tried them both".

"Both really nice but rhubarb one is definitely more popular in my local store as can't seem to keep them on the shelves," another commented.

A third wrote in agreement: "These are lush I can vouch."

Even better both flavours are gluten-free.

Aldi's latest additions comes after they slashed the price of its prosecco for the May Bank Holiday.

The budget supermarket discounted the price of its Castellore Prosecco Frizzante DOC to £3.99, which usually costs £5.49, a meager sum considering it's received many positive reviews online.

On Aldi's website, the description of the fizz said: "This semi-sparkling wine has the same soft and fruity peach, pear and lemon zest flavours that you'd expect from our Castellore Prosecco DOC - just in a gentler Frizzante style.

"It works fantastically with seafood, or why not try it as an aperitif?"

Aldi originally introduced the offer over the Easter Bank Holiday, but the supermarket has confirmed its continuing right through the three-day weekend.
