If you didn't Instagram it, did it even happen? For many of us, going on holiday isn't just about having a moment to relax, party or discover something new, but also to get some great material for your Insta. For those who love a bit of pink, we've compiled a list of the most Instagrammable pink beaches in the world for you to head down to this summer, so sit back, relax, and enjoy the view.

First up is Bermuda, where pink sand is found on its south shore at Horseshoe Bay Beach. The pink colour of the sand is because Bermuda is lined with coral reefs which house something minuscule marine organisms called red foraminifera, which give it its colour.

Next up is Balos Bay in Crete, Greece. Its sands are pink and white and combined with bright blue saltwater makes an arresting scene. It was also rumoured to be the honeymoon of Prince Charles and Princess Diana who visited the spot after their wedding in 1981.

Arguably one of the most popular pink sand beaches in the world is at Komodo Island, Indonesia. It is part of Komodo National Park and so its shallow waters are perfect for getting a glimpse of wild Komodo dragons.

Crane Beach in Barbados offers fantastic scenic views of the shore. It is also home to The Crane Resort, one of the oldest operating hotels in the Caribbean. Visitors staying at the resort can access the pink beach by going down a glass-front beach elevator. Just like Willy Wonka's.

This pink sand beach on Great Santa Cruz Island in the Philippines, which can only be reached by boat is perfect for those looking for a more tranquil time. Boasting crystal-clear waters, the sand gets its colour from pulverised red organ pipe coral.
