Halloween Trees Are The New Trend For People Who Love All Things Spooky

Halloween Trees Are The New Trend For People Who Love All Things Spooky

Just swap out tinsel and candy cane decorations for bats, pumpkin baubles, skulls and cobwebs.

I could give you a hundred reasons why Halloween is my favourite holiday.

There's something about that time of year, on the cusp of autumn and winter, when there's an excitement in the air. We pull our musty decorations out of the attic, carve our pumpkins, hang our bats and cobwebs and laboriously put together our fancy dress costume.

It's enough to trigger kid-like excitement every year without fail.

If you, like me, consider Halloween to be the greatest, then you're going to love this new, completely extra way to celebrate the spooky holiday: with a Halloween tree.

Much like a Christmas tree, the Halloween iteration starts with a fir tree (or thereabouts) which can be real or fake depending on your dedication levels.

Brands are even catering to the need with faux trees in spooky Halloween colours such as orange, black and purple - there's tons of options on Amazon. For first time Halloween tree-ers, recycling your old faux Christmas tree is a good option if you're just testing it out.

The next part is simple: simply deck out your tree with all manner of decorations, but instead of Xmas-themed baubles and candy canes, simply swap out with your Halloween decorations. Think bats, pumpkin baubles, and skulls while cobwebs make a great alternative to tinsel.

And what goes on the top of the tree? A witches hat, of course. Or a massive bat, your shout.

We're surprised no one thought of this soon to be honest.

While the trees have no doubt been made by Halloween obsessives for years, they've taken a real surge for 2019 with seemingly everyone putting their hand to arts and crafts.

There's our weekend plans sorted.
