If your house is adorned with posters which say 'Home Is Where The Heart Is' and coasters which read 'Friends Are The Family You Choose,' then it might be time to have a refurb'.
That's what interior expert Zoe Warren thinks, anyway.
She's listed the 10 most outdated home decor trends that people have in their homes, and word art is one of her least favourites.

"Word art is a trend that has been around for years - you won't be stuck for wood motif options at home décor stores," Zoe says.
"However, generic plaques reading 'Home' placed around your rooms lacks character and looks tacky. Take the time to choose something which fits with your décor and overall aesthetic of the room."

Other trends, which Zoe - expert interior designer at PriceYourJob.co.uk - had some choice words about include magnolia walls (you know, the type you'd see in the 80s and 90s).
"This colour is now seen as very outdated, instead paint your walls in Scandi white or cool grey for a neutral yet clean finish," she suggests.
Meanwhile, vertical blinds should also be a thing of the past, apparently.
"Vertical blinds may seem like an innocent addition in your home, but they lack style and character," Zoe warns.

"The plastic beaded chains which tie the strips together makes the blinds look unattractive. Make the switch to horizontal roman blinds or delicate curtains for an elegant look.
We're sorry to say that nautical motifs have also had their time...
"Seashells, anchors and navy/white stripes should all be avoided in your home. If you intend on bringing the summer vibes inside, you can do so in a subtle way," Zoe says.

"Choose a light colour palette which is inspired by your favourite hot country and pair with tassel accessories such as throw cushions. The décor is better welcomed when the effort is in the detail."
Meanwhile, other trends to bin include tile countertops - it's all about stone or concrete, apparently - and wicker furniture.
Zoe advises: "If you are a big wicker fan, rattan is a popular new trend which gives a stylish nod to this outdated classic."
While you're in the process of redecorating, glass block walls are a no, too.

"They offered a level of privacy and allowed a steady light flow, but innovations have rendered them bulky. A simple curtain or glass door is more lightweight whilst delivering the same results."
Popcorn ceilings also have to go - you know, the 'bumpy' textured ceilings also known as Artex ceilings?
"They are used to turn a smooth ceiling into a statement feature. However, nowadays the speckled design dates the room and can look unappealing," Zoe explains.
"If the texture isn't shedding, popcorn ceilings can be painted for a quick refresh. Ensure you follow the correct preparation for a smooth finish. If you need more of a repair, call in a professional as it may contain asbestos."
