The dark nights are here, it's *almost* November and we can practically hear the faint sound of jingle bells in the distance which can only mean one thing - party season is upon us.
With party season, everyone knows it means a complete wardrobe overhaul, as we drag out all the sparkly dresses and faux fur we can find, and it turns out the same applies to our make up too.
If our Instagram feed is anything to go by, statement glitter eye shadow is the way to turn heads this festive season, and we're absolutely here for it.

Glitter eye shadow definitely isn't the most subtle look in the world, but a silver, peach or bronze glitter, teamed with a nude lip is definitely going to be our go-to daytime festive look.
When the evening comes around, be bold and add a splash of colour and a darker lip to fully embrace the festivities.

According to beauty blogger, Gee box, the best way to perfect a glitter eye is to start with a "beautiful smoked out rose-gold eye look, complete with a coppery brown in in her outer V."
Gee then goes in with a liquid glitter shadow which she places in the center of the lid lightly.
Finally, she finishes the look off with a sleek cat eye and some voluminous falsies.
