Of all the 'cult' products on the market, it seems like J-beauty is serving up the best of the best at the moment. But which ones are worth actually splashing out on?
There's one product that truly stands out from the rest - Fairydrops' Scandal Queen Waterproof Mascara. The mascara reached cult beauty status years ago, but the product is still proving to be just as popular even now.
Created by Japanese celebrity Aya Yasuda, the product retails on Cult Beauty for £18.50 and has been described as a "push-up bra for your lashes".
Its uniquely shaped, three-bobble mascara wand promises longer than life lashes, lifting them up to the heavens and packing in extra wow factor. The wand has a one-of-a-kind shape which lifts and separates, while adding volume and length with tiny fibres.

Not a single lash can escape its curling, coating and conditioning formula, which boasts smudge, water and budge-proof properties, leaving a gorgeously glossy black finish behind. There's no clumpy, spider lashes in sight with this bad boy.
It's also enriched with five different essential oils and extras - squalene, jojoba seed oil, panthenol, hydrolysed collagen and moisturising hyaluronic acid - all majorly hyped ingredients of 2018.
It also comes in a gorgeous rose gold tube to add a little glam to even the most foundation-splattered of make-up bags.

As for how you should apply it? The brand says: "Begin with the middle ball at the top of the arch. Gently wiggle back and forth at the base of your lashes to catch. Then rotate inwards as you draw straight up from root to tip in one continuous stroke."
And the reviews for the product speak for themselves.
"This mascara is fantastic! It goes on beautifully, I have very pale almost blonde lashes and this makes them look naturally black as opposed to artificial," gushed one happy customer.

Another added: "Hands down the best mascara I have ever tried. It lengthens and adds volume to lashes, whilst holding a curl all day."
